Des de la seva aparició, la fotografia ha assumit l’estatus de «registre del real», i les tecnologies actuals han incidit en les seves característiques fonamentals: ser reproduïble i manipulable. La realitat presentada, representada, no és una realitat única i tancada, sinó que, depèn de qui prengui la foto, podríem parlar de realitats subjectives, poètiques, fictícies, i fins i tot falsejades.
Fa temps que l’objecte d’art va ser socialitzat en museus i mostres internacionals, però la necessitat de «posseir» l’objecte ha produït legions d’admiradors que càmera en mà registren el seu record, presència, i essència davant la impossibilitat de tenir l’obra en si mateixa.

From its outset, photography has assumed the status of «registration of the real» and current technologies have influenced its fundamental characteristics: being reproducible and manipulable. The reality presented, represented, is not a unique and closed reality, but it depends on who takes the picture, it could talk about subjective, poetic, fictitious, and even falsified realities.
The object of art has been socialized for a long time in museums and international exhibitions, but the need to «own» the object has produced legions of fans that camera in hand, capture its memory, presence, and essence, facing the impossibility of having the artwork in itself.

Desde su aparición, la fotografía ha asumido el status de «registro de lo real», y las tecnologías actuales han incidido en sus características fundamentales: ser reproducible y manipulable. La realidad presentada, representada, no es una realidad única y cerrada, sino que, depende de quién tome la foto, podríamos hablar de realidades subjetivas, poéticas, ficticias, e incluso falseadas.
Hace tiempo que el objeto de arte fue socializado en museos y muestras internacionales, pero la necesidad de «poseer» el objeto ha producido legiones de admiradores que cámara en mano registran su recuerdo, presencia, y esencia ante la imposibilidad de tener la obra en sí misma.
